Progress: Back to Basics

This represents the first in a series of posts summarizing the team’s progress. Each week, I’ll sum up what we’ve done and what we’re doing in hopes that the resulting record will make it easier for us to look back and see what we did, and make our blog a little more interesting/meaningful to outsiders.

Right now we are 6 full weeks from the GDC conference in San Fransisco, California. Since RIT will have a booth there, we’ve decided to work towards having a build of the game ready to show at that conference. To that end, we’ve made a schedule outlining the key features we want to have implemented by then and a basic timeline for the milestones in-between.

Here are the bullet points for how we are changing the existing build:

  • Two player functionality [pictured]
  • Analog 3D movement
  • Brand new environment
  • At least 3 new enemies
  • The ability to cut dudes in half

Are you excited yet? Me too. Stay tuned for more next week.
